Co-Author Donald O Rosenberry

Research Hydrologist

Don is an affiliate professor at Colorado School of Mines. He spent 40 years with the U.S. Geological Survey as a research hydrologist, reducing uncertainties of water budgets of lakes and wetlands with an emphasis on exchanges between groundwater and surface water. Expanding into fluvial settings, Don developed and improved tools and methods for quantifying fluxes across the sediment-water interface, leading to improved understanding of processes that control those exchanges. He holds a BS in geology and geography from Bemidji State University, a MS in hydrogeology from University of Minnesota, and a PhD in fluvial geomorphology from University of Colorado. Don resides part time just north of the Pole Creek drainage and has spent decades exploring the many area trails via bike, foot, and skis.
